No More Lunch Charges
Please note that as of Wednesday, May 17th, students will no longer be allowed to charge their school lunch. We are approaching the end of the school year and collecting outstanding charge fees becomes more difficult. If your child comes to school without lunch money, they will be asked to call home or their parent's work. The money will have to be brought in that morning prior to lunch. To avoid any inconvenience to you or your child, please make sure they have the correct lunch money each day. You may find it helpful to purchase a weekly lunch ticket for the entire week.

Kindergarten Music Program
Our kindergarten students, under the direction of Mrs. Julian and Mrs. Pouzar, will present their Spring Music Program on Thursday, May 25. The program will begin at 7:00 PM. Students have been practicing diligently and look forward to this special evening. Parents, grandparents, and friends are encouraged to attend!

Student Recognition Programs - May 31
Our Student Recognition Programs will be held on Wednesday, May 31. We will honor students in Grades 1 and 2 during the morning, beginning at 9:30 AM. Students in Grades 3 and 4 will be recognized for their outstanding achievements in the afternoon, beginning at 1:30 PM. Individual recognitions will be given to each 4th grade student. Parents and friends are encouraged to attend these special events.

Thanks to Parent Volunteers!
As principal, I would like to thank the many parent volunteers who have helped in many different capacities this year. Without your support and help, we would not be able to accomplish much. Special thanks should be extended to Mrs. Liz Roberts, PTO President. She has devoted much time and effort to Hazel Dell this year. Her guidance and leadership have been greatly appreciated. Thanks again . . . you are all very valuable to the successes at Hazel Dell!

Officers for next year's PTO were approved at the May monthly meeting and are as follows: President - Nancy Spencer, Vice President - Barb Green, Recording Secretary - Laurie Schillinger, Corresponding Secretary - JoAnn Brolsma, Treasurer - Becky Porter, Assistant Treasurer - Dora Trittipo, and Advisor - Liz Roberts. If you haven't signed up to be involved with the PTO next year, please contact Nancy Spencer at 773-0338. There are still some committee positions to be filled. Remember . . . your help is necessary in order to provide educational, enrichment and other special opportunities for our students.

Notes from the Nurse - Important Information Regarding Medications

We would like to return as many of these items to their rightful owners before we dismiss for summer vacation.
