| Paul Kaiser named assistant superintendent
Paul A. Kaiser, principal of Decatur Central High School, has been named assistant superintendent for business for Noblesville Schools.
As assistant superintendent, his primary duties will be in personnel, finances, and facilities management.
"I am looking forward to coming to Noblesville. The school system has an outstanding reputation and it's growing. I am looking forward to the challenges that come with that growth. It will be fun, exciting, and challenging at the same time," Kaiser said.
"The biggest thing that stands out in my mind is the people there. What makes a school strong are the people and the school's philosophy, and both are very strong in Noblesville," he said.
Kaiser also looks forward to being a part of a community that has an identity as strong as and one where the town and school system intermix.
Kaiser's appointment was approved by the Noblesville School Board on Tuesday, November 21, 2000.
Kaiser will join the Noblesville Schools' staff in January. He succeeds Dr. Lynn Lehman as assistant superintendent for business. Dr. Lehman will become deputy superintendent in January with primary responsibilities in programming and curriculum. Changes in the district administrative staff come about at the retirement of Dr. Ronald Costello, assistant superintendent for secondary education.
Kaiser, 43, has been in public education for 20 years. He taught at Kokomo Haworth High School, Monrovia High School, and Eastern High School in Greentown.
He was an assistant principal at Eastern High School for two years before moving to Decatur Central as an assistant principal in 1988. A year after joining the Decatur Central staff, he was named principal.
Kaiser earned his Bachelor of Science in business education and his Master of Arts in education from Ball State University. He earned his license in administration and supervision and his Educational Specialist degree in administration from Ball State.
Kaiser's wife, Cyndi, is a teacher at Hamilton Heights Middle School. The Kaisers have two daughters.
