2000 NHS Alumni Association
Scholarship Award Winners

Shawn David Adams received the NHS Alumni Association Scholarship award of $1000. Shawn ranked in the top 20% of his class and planned a college degree in Psychology with an additional goal of receiving his Ph.D. and starting his own practice. Shawn began life with two brothers as a triplet noting in his remarks, "it has its advantages and disadvantages." Each brother has achieved in their own ways and Shawn was a All State Academic athlete and a Merit Award winner.

The second scholarship award winner of $500.00 in the category of Vocational Scholarship winner was Travis R. Mills. His plans included attending Vincennes University for their two year program in Construction Technology program. During high school, he also attended J. Everett Light Construction Technology program. His teacher reported that Travis was a reliable and dependable person in the classroom and very capable of learning. He continues saying that Travis always displayed good character traits such as honesty, trustworthiness, independence, and a good work ethic while attending school.

The 2001 NHS Alumni Scholarships will be two $1000.00 awards. The granting of the scholarship will take place in May at the High School. Donations are welcome to the fund and can be added to the reservation form for the Alumni Banquet or sent separate to the same address as the reservations.
